One portal for every TV

Every physical TV opens the same Velvet Welcome TV portal. The screen shows a 6-digit pairing code; assign it to a room here and the TV remembers that identity from then on. No room-specific URLs to type or remember.

Setup in 4 steps

  1. On the physical TV, open /tv in the browser.
  2. The TV displays a 6-digit pairing code.
  3. On the room above, click Pair existing TV and type that code.
  4. Press F11 (Windows/Linux) or ⌃⌘F (Mac) to fullscreen — leave the tab open, it reconnects on its own.

Per-OS kiosk instructions

Windows / macOS / Linux: open Chrome, go to the URL, press F11. For unattended use, launch with chrome --kiosk <url>.

Chromebox / ChromeOS: Settings → Apps → Manage Kiosk Apps → add the URL.

Smart TV / FireTV / AppleTV: use a "Web Browser" app (Silk, TVWeb) and open the URL — auto-rotation on the page handles the rest.

Disable screensaver: on the host OS, set sleep / screensaver to "Never" while on power.

Bind each TV to its room securely.

Open /tv on the physical TV. It will display a 6-digit pairing code. Enter it below within 10 minutes to bind it to a room.
